Activities: Week of January 8, 2017

Welcome back!!  We hope you had a wonderful holiday with a chance to relax and recharge.  We’re starting back with a full week of activities so check out the highlights and details below.

Highlights for the upcoming week:
  • Effective Speaking:  Starting on Monday,  Jan. 9 the Effective Speaking program will be complemented for the next 8 weeks by a Toastmaster program, Young Leaders, for those that signed up.  It will blend some of the effective speaking teachings from our Snr cadet leaders, FSgt Peshimam and FSgt Wainwright, with some additional expertise from the toastmaster facilitator.
  • Ski day:  a ski day at Mount St. Louis is being planned for Saturday, Feb. 25.  Spaces will be limited and a deposit will be required to hold your spot.  Sgt Hiltz will be the cadet leading this event.  Additional details with rates to follow.
  • Remind application:  the squadron will be rolling out the official use of an application, Remind, that will enhance communications to all cadets as well as provide secure communication for individual programs.  All staff endorsed written communication will now either come from the website, the remind app or the official Facebook page.  Details to sign up and start receiving your remind communications to follow!
  • Training Night:  A friendly reminder to level 3 & 4’s, per the heads up provided in early December, this weeks lessons will be evaluated.  Reach out if you need help in advance!
