Activities: Feb. 5, 2017

Thanks to everyone that made the 1st CO parade a success.  Major Burns commented about many pairs of shiny boots and overall good dress.  Attendance was strong and reflected of our growing squadron and confirmed increased national camp slots that will be available next year.  Congratulations!

  • Lottery books:  There are many cadets that have not yet picked up a lottery book.  Thanks to those that have.  The money raised is important to supporting squadron activities.  The OPC Lottery ticket funds are shared between the selling squadron and the OPC.  Each squadron puts their portion towards their program while the OPC uses their portion to fund the gliding grogram that is available to all squadrons in Ontario.  Books are available on parade nights from the SSC.  Please be sure to get yours if you don’t have it already.  All stubs need to be returned by March 3 to be entered in the draw.
  • Spring Tagging:  Amazing how time flies!!  Please make note in your calendars for March 30 – April 2. This is our big tagging weekend, one of our largest fundraisers.  It is mandatory for all cadets and support from parents, staff and volunteers will be needed to ensure it’s success.
